Passed in peace Friday, May 1, 2020 at the age of 79. Preceded in death by his parents, Rose Emma Carruthers Stergis and father Morris Carruthers. As an expression of grace, Winford accepted Christ at an early age. He was formerly married to Anne Gregory Jones and from this union two daughters were born. He will be truly missed by his loving daughters Joy (Skip) and Jackki (Chip). He was the proud Grandfather of Jennifer (Winfred), Celeste (Byron), Lyndsey, Carla (Joshua), Brittany (Gione) ,Brandon (Ebonie) and Tyler (Jessica). He was also the proud Great-grandfather of 15, Daniel (DJ), Bailey, Bryce, Sophia, Sasha, Jacob, Elias, Savannah, Ellington, Jordan, Hyland, Eero, Jonah, Grayh, Ezra and Aiden (July 2020). He is also survived by many relatives and friends. Winford will be fondly remembered for his many years of service at General Motors and University Hospitals in the Protective Service division.
Dad, you will forever be in our hearts and we will always love you!
Though words cannot convey the tender thoughts and depth of thankfulness we hold for you, the family of Winford S.
