ALMIGHTY GOD, the Author and Finisher of 'The Book of Life,' began this chapter entitled "SIDNEY WILLIAMS" (affectionately called 'Big Sid') on May 25, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan. The oldest of two brothers born blessed from the union of Justine Williams and the late Sidney Williams, Sr., Sidney was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and was baptized at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church in Cleveland by the late Rev. Dr. Novie Scott Chaney, Jr. He was an active member of St. Paul's Buds of Promise Choir and the Junior Usher Board. Sidney attended the Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from Glenville High School in 1984. An avid "DIY"er who loved working with his hands. Sidney held positions at several home improvement stores including Handy Andy (formerly Forest City), Builders Square, and most recently, Coit Cleaning and Restoration until his passing. While at Handy Andy, Sidney met the love of his life , Kimberly K. Anderson and the two were married in 2005. Their union was blessed with one child: daughter Sydney (with the letter 'y'). Sidney LOVED sports: he could and sometimes would have three separate games on at the same time. He loved his hometown teams, and the Dallas Cowboys had Sidney reading the Plain Dealer Sports Section at the age of 4. Having completed the final chapter of this edition, God quietly called Sidney home on April 22, 2022. Though loved dearly by family and friends, God loved Sidney best and granted him peace and eternal rest. Just as he led a quiet life, Sidney went to receive his reward quietly, leaving behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Kimberly Williams and daughter Sydney; his loving mother Justine Brown; sister Brittany and brothers Kevin and Michael; aunts Gloria Simms (Noel) and Anna Crandell (Daryl); cousins Theron Crandell (Regina) Roland Crandell, Justin Crandell, and Christina Crandell-all of Cleveland, Ohio; plus many relatives and friends.
