Sam was born August 22, 1940, to the union of Samuel and Janie Arthur in Montgomery, Alabama. Sam was the second sibling born.
Preceded by older sister Mattie Milliner (deceased) and younger brother Eddie Arthur (deceased).
Samuel Arthur moved the family to Cleveland to find better job opportunities in the 50's. Sam graduated from East Technical High school in 1960. Shortly after, Sam joined the Air Force and spent time in Germany: After serving time in the military, Sam returned to Cleveland and found employment with CEI.
Sam married Margret and to that union was born Son Frank Arthur (Elizabeth) Granddaughter Shayla Grigsby - 6 Great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandchildren. Son Derrick Arthur- Grandson Derrick Arthur Jr, Grand Son Samuel Pie: Grand Daughter Rhaniyah Arthur. Grandson Nico Jax Arthur. Also, Sam leaves behind a nephew Terry Milliner (Lynn), great Nieces Brittany Mbanugo (Odera) and Ashley Adorno (Arnold) and Traci Milliner. 2 great - great nieces Nneka Mbanugo and Aubrey Adorno as well as a host of cousins.
Sam held various side jobs as an electrician both residential and commercial:
retiring for a 2nd time Sam worked as a maintenance man for Twinsburg school system, and a car porter for Crestmont Cadillac, Sam's favorite past time was horse racing. He followed races big and small and always had the latest racings forms, tracking jockeys, history on horses as well as owners and trainers: Sam was called home to heaven to join his Parents and siblings on November 2nd, 2024, after a long well fought battle.
