Michael D Vales

Michael was born November 11, 1956, to the union of Charley and Thelma Vales in Toledo, Ohio. Michael was the oldest son. He was preceded in death by both parents Charley and Thelma. He is one of seven children. Ammie Willis (Frank), Sheila, Anthony, Annette, Kimberley and Rhonda. Host of nieces and nephews. The family settled in Cleveland Ohio. Michael accepted Christ at a very young age. He also led others to Christ. He was a leader in the church musical ministry throughout his life. Michael was a big fan of roller derby, roller coasters, playing the piano, traveling and cooking. He considered himself to be an amateur chef, often sharing pictures of his creations. He was also a "computer nerd". he was a lover of technology and gadgets. Michael moved to California shortly after graduating from high school with hopes of joining the roller derby. He worked various jobs throughout the years. He spent many years working at the Englewood Police Department. After living in California for about 30 years he relocated to Maricopa, Arizona in 2005. He worked for Arizona State University for many years until his retirement in 2020.
