Isiac Jones, called Ike by family and friends, was born on July 26, 1945, to the late Henry Allen and Effie Mae Jones in Pittsview, Alabama. Ike was the 9th child born of the 12 Jones children. With 10 of his siblings preceding him in death, Mattie Pearl, Polly, Essie B., Ruby, Allen, Sam, Sallie, Lizzie, Johnny, and Bennie. He graduated from Glenville H.S. Ike worked at PPG as a color lab tech, mixing paint to create colors. Later, he worked as a car salesman after serving in the military. Once he retired, Ike enjoyed fishing and his love of classic cars. In his younger years, he was a talented DJ and enjoyed playing for parties and events. He was also a great grill master and would BBQ for his annual family reunion on the 4th of July, and whenever anyone would ask, he would grill for them. He even carried around his special seasoning in his truck. Ike was united in holy matrimony to Betty Jean Schaffer, and their union birthed Ike’s only son, Allen Jones Sr. (Sonya), and a daughter who preceded him in death, Precious.
